
Bison Men's Water Polo Drops 10-7 Decision to Iona at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - Junior Jamie Saettele scored four goals and had two assists, but it was not enough as the Bucknell men's water polo team dropped a 10-7 decision to Iona at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, September 14.
Bucknell held a 5-4 lead going into the fourth quarter, but the Gaels exploded for six goals in the final frame to Bucknell's two to take the contest, 10-7.
In addition to Saettele, the Bison got one goal each from senior Daniel Lonnerdal, sophomore Elliot Benoist and freshman Bradley Roslyn.
The Orange and Blue defense broke out against Iona, recording 16 steals. Lonnerdal led the way with five, while sophomore James Danforth recorded four and Benoist and Roslyn had three thefts each.
Sophomore Ernest Martin played the entire game in net, recording a season-high 11 saves.
Bucknell falls to 1-5 overall and faces #12 St. Francis (N.Y.) at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15.
