Bison Men's Soccer Player Adam Edwards Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell freshman men's soccer player Adam Edwards (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown) has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 9, 2002. It is the first week the honors were awarded this season.
The starting goalkeeper on the 2002 Bison squad, Edwards has helped lead the team to a 4-0 record, marking the best Bucknell start since the 1990 season. He has recorded three consecutive shutouts, including two 2-0 victories at the Bulls Fall Invitational, earning him Defensive MVP honors at the tournament which the Orange and Blue won. Through four contests, Edwards has recorded a 0.48 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.
The Bison have an overall record of 4-0 and begin Patriot League play on Saturday, September 14, at defending regular-season champion, Holy Cross. Kickoff is slated for 3:00 p.m.
