Bison Field Hockey Blanked by Towson, 3-0

TOWSON, Md. - Andrea Schlezes registered a goal and two assists and Loren Wolf made six saves in goal as host Towson stopped Bucknell, 3-0, in a non-league field hockey contest Tuesday at Towson University Stadium.
The Tigers (3-1) collected all three of their goals in the final 10:14 of the first half, with Julie Lambi tallying her seventh goal of the year to open the scoring. Schlezes scored less than two minutes later, and Ashley Bacon made it 3-0 with 3:13 left in the half.
Bucknell (1-4) goalie Sonja Wettergreen made three saves and allowed three goals in the opening half. Freshman Liz Jordan made her collegiate debut to open the second stanza and made three saves in 35 minutes of shutout action.
In avenging a 5-1 loss in Lewisburg last season, Towson outshot Bucknell 20-7 and held a 15-1 edge in penalty corners.
The Bison return home this Saturday to take on Columbia at 12 p.m.
