LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell head men's soccer coach Brendan Nash announced that seniors Tom Ryan (Pine City, N.Y./Elmira Southside) and Nick Taylor (Fairview Park, Ohio/St. Ignatius), and junior Brian King (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) have been elected tri-captains for the 2002 season.
Ryan enters his senior campaign as a captain after playing in 13 games last season. The midfielder scored the first points of his career a year ago, assisting on four goals to tie for the team lead in helpers. Ryan is a leader on and off the field, earning a spot on the University's Dean's list and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Taylor will conclude a fine career in the Orange and Blue with a captainship his senior season. Taylor has started 36 of the 52 games he has played in over his career. A midfielder, Taylor finished last season second on the squad in points, scoring two goals and assisting on four for eight points. With nine career assists, he needs just three to break into the Bucknell top-10 career list.
