HARRISOBURG, Va. - The Bucknell track & field squads are taking a brief respite from their championship schedule as they participate in the James Madison Invitational, held on Friday-Saturday, May 10-11.
After competing in the Patriot League Championships last week, Bucknell will visit Princeton University for the IC4A/ECAC Championships on May 17-19 next weekend.
The Bison had just two athletes compete on day one of the JMU Invitational on Friday, as juniors Lou Palma and Eric Furst took the track in the 1,500-meter run. Palma raced to a 10th-place finish with an impressive time of 3:52.64, just over a second shy of the 10th-best time in school history. Furst also turned in a stellar performance, notching a 3:55.80 clocking. Both Palma and Furst recorded personal-best times in the event.
The invitational will conclude tomorrow with 17 Bison on the track or in the field.
