Bucknell Men's Golf Takes 13th at Towson

WESTOVER, Md. - Sophomore Abbie Valentine and senior Dan Gale tied for 47th, and the Bucknell men's golf team tied for 13th out of 20 teams this weekend at the Drew Upton Tiger Classic, hosted by Towson University.
The Bison shot a 304 on the second day after a 313-stroke performance on day one to finish with a final score of 617. Loyola College won the team title with a team score of 578, and edged out second-place finisher Navy by two strokes. Army finished a close third at 581.
Valentine and Gale posted a 10 over par 154 on the par-72, 7,047-yard course. Valentine shot an 80 on the first day and followed up with a 74 on day two. Gale recorded a 77 on both days.
Freshmen Alex Dolle and Tyler Braun each shot a 156 and tied for 58th in a 109-man field. Dolle recorded a 76 on day one and an 80 on day two, while Braun posted an 80 on the first day and a 76 on day two.
Also competing for the Bison was sophomore Charles Markey, who tied for 67th at 157. Markey shot an 80 on the first day of the invitational and a 77 over the final 18 holes.
Bucknell will return to action on April 6-7 at the Navy Invitational.
