Bison Women's Swimming Places Eighth at ECAC's

PITTSBURGH - The Bucknell University men's and women's swim teams concluded the ECAC Championships this evening at the University of Pittsburgh. With 165.5 points, the women's team finished eighth out of 31 schools. The Bison men's team totaled 73 points and came in 15th among 30 schools.
Bucknell also finished the ECAC Diving Championships this afternoon at the University of Delaware, and freshman Adam Freeman placed fifth in the 3 meter diving with a score of 413.60, third-highest in school history. Freeman also won the 1 meter diving yesterday with a score of 289.45, a mark that bettered his former school record.
Sophomore Sarah Petcavage also competed in the diving championships today, and placed 14th in the 1 meter with a score of 182.85. Yesterday, Petcavage placed fifth in the 3 meter and reset her own Bucknell record with a score of 352.55.
In the swimming championships, freshman Jamie Flick placed third and reset her own school record in the 200 breast in 2:21.13. Junior Darby Golino and sophomore Daniela Faas also performed well for the Bison, as the duo finished ninth (2:05.66) and 10th (2:08.99), respectively, in the 200 back. Faas' time was the sixth-fastest ever at BU. Freshman Jackie Feinthel registered a solid showing in the 200 fly, taking 12th in 2:08.91.
Bucknell's 400 free relay team of senior Abby Weaver, Golino, sophomore Jennifer Cancro and sophomore Lynne Ashenfelter came in ninth in 3:52.72.
