Bucknell's Women's Soccer Announce Team Award Winners

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's women's soccer announced team award winners for the 2002 season. Six team members received honors voted by their teammates and coaches, while one student trainer was also honored.
Senior captain Tara Utchel (Heidelberg, Pa./Sewickley) was named offensive most valuable player for the Bison, while junior tri-captain Abbey Seaboyer (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendohowa) received the most valuable defensive player for the second consecutive season. Forward Suzanne Arata (La Plata, Md./Saint Mary's Ryken) and midfielder Meaghan Ferris (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet Regional) were voted Rookies of the Year.
Sophomore Annie Greenspun (Ardmore, Pa./Haverford) was voted most improved player for the Bison. Greenspun recorded her first collegiate goal against American. The Gibbons-Crane award is given to the player who epitomizes the highest standard pf character, commitment, determination, integrity, skill and work ethic required to be a "complete player". This award was given to senior Lauren Schwarz (Northport, N.Y./St. Anthony's). Defender Kate Cramer (Manasquan, N.J./Wall) received the scholar-athlete award for the second consecutive year.
The women's soccer team and coaches awarded sophomore student trainer Curtis Bolig (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) the Ciccone Friends of Bucknell Award.
