LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell sophomore Annie Greenspun (Ardmore, Pa./Haverford) has received the October Athlete of the Month Award for soccer from local co-sponsors K.I.C.K.S. Marshall Arts for Women and Curves for Women.
The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Thursday, Nov. 7. Sponsored by K.I.C.K.S. The other winners for the month of October, as selected by their respective coaches, were junior twins Breean and Brandi Trapasso in volleyball, senior Nicki Piper for cross country and senior Kelly Burrows for field hockey.
Greenspun is a second year participant with the Bison and a one-year letter winner. She started seven of the 17 contests for the Bison during the 2002 campaign and participated in 15 games. Greenspun captured the only goal for the Bison during the Bucknell-American match-up on Oct. 26.
The Bucknell women's soccer team completed the 2002 season with a 6-9-2 overall record and 1-5-1 in the Patriot League.
