Bucknell's Tara Utchel Named To Women's Soccer All-League Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's women's soccer midfielder, Tara Utchel (Heidelberg, Pa./Sewickley) was named to the second-team All-League in the Patriot League.
Utchel had earned Rookie of the Year recognition in 1999. The tri-captain has received post-season honors for the fourth-straight year after contributing a team-high four goals and 10 points for the Bison during the 2002 season.
Utchel has scored one goal each during the 7-3 victory over Howard and the 9-0 sweep over Delaware State. She also grabbed the game-winning goal in the 1-0 win against Sacred Heart at the Albany Tournament. Utchel was named Most Valuable Offensive Player at the tournament. Utchel tallied her final goal of the season when she added the third goal in a 3-3 tie against Robert Morris.
The senior has completed her career at Bucknell with 14 goals and 14 assists while on the field. Utchel been a four-year member of the Bison squad and has also participated in the 2001 Patriot League Championships.
Bucknell finished the 2002 season with a 1-5-1 record within the Patriot League and captured a 6-9-2 record overall.
