Bucknell's Darby Golino Named Athlete Of The Week For Swimming

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's senior swimmer, Darby Golino (Milford, Conn./Our Lady of Academy) was named Patriot League Women's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Golino assisted the Bison with a 185-102 victory over Drexel Saturday afternoon.
Golino captured first place in three events during the dual meet with the Dragons on Saturday. She set the pool record in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:07.56, which was nearly six seconds faster than teammate and second-place Daniela Faas. Golino also placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.87. Timing in at 1:50.76, the Bison tallied first place in the 200-medley relay with the assistance of Golino. She swam the first section of the relay with a split of 28.55.
The men's and women's teams will host the Bucknell Sprint Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 9, which will include Bloomsburg, Penn State, Villanova and West Chester. The Bison will start Patriot League competition against American and Navy on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Arthur J. Kinney Natatorium.
