Bucknell Women's Soccer Falls 2-0 To Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. - On Wednesday evening, Bucknell's women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Cornell. Bison goalkeeper, Laurie Purse, captured eight saves for Bucknell, while the Bison offense challenged themselves to five shots.
Cornell scored their first goal 11 minutes into the game. The Orange and Blue held the Big Red for the rest of the first half and entered halftime down one. The Bison came back in the second half with a strong defense, but allowed Cornell to score one more goal. Cornell scored the second goal with 20 seconds left in the game.
Purse completed the 90 minutes with eight saves for Bucknell.
"We controlled the tempo of the game," mentioned head coach Chrissy Findlay. "It was the best game we have played this year and got us prepared to face Army on Saturday."
The Bison now hold a 5-5-1 overall record. Bucknell will travel to West Point, N.Y. on Saturday, Oct. 12 to face Patriot League opponent Army at 7:00 p.m.
