Bucknell Women's Soccer Tally A 3-3 Tie With Robert Morris

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's women's soccer team played host to Robert Morris, Sunday afternoon and took the game into double overtime to leave in a 3-3 tie. The Bison now hold a 5-4-1 overall record.
Robert Morris scored, the first goal, nine minutes into the game. The Bison fought back to produce back-to-back goals by Meghann Chipko in the 22nd minute and Ashley Dincher in the 31st minute of the game. Both goals were unassisted. Bucknell went into halftime with a 2-1 lead over the Colonials.
The Orange and Blue returned after halftime to have Tara Utchel score her fourth goal of the season at 54:07. Less than three and a half minutes, Robert Morris scored their second goal of the game in the 57th minute. With only 1:03 left in the game Robert Morris' Angela Story kicked a long shot from behind the box to grab a third goal.
The game then went into the first 10-minute overtime. With no results in the first overtime the second over time began. Neither team scored in the second overtime and the game decision was a 3-3 tie.
Senior goalkeeper Kelly Kannen entered the game for the second half and played throughout the overtime play, while tallying four saves. Utchel marked team high 13 shots, while Chipko tallied seven. The Bison out-shot the Colonials, 43 to 14 during the game.
Bucknell will travel to face Cornell on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7:00 p.m.
