Bucknell Women's Soccer Tallies A 3-3 Tie With Robert Morris

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's women's soccer team played host to Robert Morris Sunday afternoon and took the game into double overtime before finishing in a 3-3 tie. The Bison now hold a 5-4-1 overall record.
Robert Morris scored the first goal nine minutes into the game. The Bison fought back to produce back-to-back goals by Meghann Chipko in the 22nd minute and Ashley Dincher in the 31st minute of the game. Both goals were unassisted. Bucknell went into halftime with a 2-1 lead over the Colonials.
The Orange and Blue returned after halftime and took a 3-1 lead whenTara Utchel scored her fourth goal of the season at 54:07. Less than three and a half minutes later Robert Morris scored its second goal of the game, and with only 1:03 left in regulation, Robert Morris' Angela Story kicked a long shot from outside the box to grab a third goal.
Neither team scored in either of two overtime periods and the decision was a 3-3 tie.
Senior goalkeeper Kelly Kannen played the second half and throughout the overtime play, while tallying four saves. Utchel marked team high 13 shots, while Chipko tallied seven. The Bison outshot the Colonials 43-14.
Bucknell will travel to Cornell on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
