Bucknell dropped its second overtime heartbreaker of the season - this one a league contest - 13-10 to Colgate ... Lane Schwarzberg was the Bison's nemesis for the second straight year, as he booted a 23-yard field goal after Bucknell missed a short field goal on its OT possession ... Schwarzburg's 33-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter was the difference in a 15-13 Colgate win last season in Hamilton, N.Y. ... it was a typical hard-fought defensive struggle between the two teams, with neither side gaining 100 yards on the ground ... Colgate has won three straight and 5 of 6 in the series, but the last five games (and 22 of 51 all-time) have been decided by a touchdown or less ... Bucknell is now 3-3 all-time in overtime, including a 23-22 loss at St. Mary's (Calif.) earlier this season ... QB Todd Wenrich and WR Jim Horan accounted for the only Bucknell touchdown of the day - a 23-yard hookup in the third quarter that gave the Herd a 10-7 lead ... K Chris Lundberg made a 22-yard field goal in the second quarter ... the senior kicker was not to blame on the missed 26-yarder in overtime, as the snap was low and was never set ...Wenrich finished 17 of 32 for 204 yards and a touchdown ... his fourth-quarter interception snapped a string of 97 straight passes without being picked off ... Horan now has 143 career receptions, one shy of Dave Kucera for second on Bucknell's all-time list and 30 away from Tom Mitchell's record ... Wenrich passed Kerry Snow for seventh place on Bucknell's career passing yardage chart with 3,271 ... the loss was extra-costly for the Bison, who lost two seniors to season-ending knee injuries - TE Ken Lockard and OLB Juan Morales ... Morales finishes his Bucknell career with 17 quarterback sacks, good for fifth on the school's all-time list ... freshman RB Blamah Sarnor started for the third straight game and rushed for 69 yards on 22 carries ... senior CB Adam Minggia thwarted a potential Colgate scoring drive in the fourth quarter when he recorded his first career interception at the Bucknell 11-yard line ... with only five seconds left in regulation OLB Joe Massey blocked Schwarzburg's 38-yard field goal attempt, sending the game into overtime ... Bucknell entered the game ranked seventh nationally in total defense, allowing 234.5 yards per game ... Colgate managed 368, including 271 through the air ... sophomore FS Frank Lazio blocked his second punt of the season, giving the Bison five kick blocks in five games this season ... after a off week next week, the Bison visit Towson on Oct. 19 in the first of three straight Patriot League road contests.
