Blamah Sarnor Cops PL Football Rookie of the Week Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. - For the second time this season, Bucknell freshman running back Blamah Sarnor (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area H.S.) has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week following his solid all-around performance in Saturday's 20-14 loss at Towson.
Sarnor finished with 120 all-purpose yards - 67 on the ground and 53 through the air - against the Tigers. He staked the Bison to a 7-0 lead with a 1-yard touchdown run, set up by a 21-yard run to the Towson 2-yard line. Sarnor also hauled in a career-high six catches to lead all players in the game.
The rookie has appeared in all six games this season, starting the last four, and leads Bucknell with 360 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He also ranks second on the squad in receptions with 18 for 127 yards.
Sarnor earned his first rookie of the week citation on Sept. 23 after rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown in a 14-3 win over Cornell. Sarnor, who made his the first career start against the Big Red, became the first Bison freshman to rush for 100 yards in a game since Rich Lemon - Bucknell's all-time leading rusher - in 1993.
The loss to Towson dropped Bucknell's record to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in Patriot League play. The Bison visit Georgetown this Saturday at 1 p.m. in search of their first league victory of the season.
