
Bucknell Men's Water Polo Takes Fourth at Inter-regional Competition

GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Bison men's water polo team dropped a 15-10 decision to Johns Hopkins in the third-place game of the Inter-regional Competition, held at Grove City, Pa., on Friday-Saturday, October 18-19. It is the second-straight loss for the Bucknell squad.
Both teams were evenly matched in the first half, playing to a 6-6 tie at halftime. Johns Hopkins, the second ranked team in Division III, took an 11-8 advantage after three with a 5-2 third period, and then put the game away with a 4-2 fourth for the 15-10 final.
Freshman Bradley Roslyn led all Bucknell scorers with three goals and two assists, while sophomore Elliot Benoist led in assists with four helpers. Senior Daniel Lonnerdal and sophomore James Danforth also scored multiple times with two goals a piece.
Sophomore Ernest Martin played the entire game in net, stopping 12 shots.
Bucknell falls to 8-12 overall and is in competition next at ECAC's at Navy on Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27, 2002.
