GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Bucknell men's water polo team improved to 8-10 on the season with a 15-4 win over Penn State-Behrend at the Inter-regional Competition, held at Grove City on Friday, October 18. With the victory, the Bison are guaranteed third place at the event.
Senior Adam Yerkes and younger brother, sophomore Paul Yerkes, both recorded six points in the contest with two goals and four assists each. Junior Scott Afzal led all goal scorers with three.
Sophomore Ernest Martin played three quarters in goal, stopping five shots. Junior Jamie Saettele played in net for the first time in his career, making one save.
The Bison improve to 8-10 overall and face #12 Princeton at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, for a chance to advance to the championship game.
