Bucknell Student-Athletes Abound On University's 2001 Spring Semester Dean's List and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - One-hundred eighty-eight Bucknell University student-athletes have earned Dean's List honors for the 2001 spring semester. Students must earn at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for selection to the Dean's List.
Included among the student-athletes on the Dean's List this semester are 25 team captains and 26 student-athletes earning perfect 4.0 averages.
Captains named to the Dean's List include: Jenna Demetriades (softball), Kristen Erb (women's soccer), Ashley Evans (women's lacrosse), Kari Evans (women's lacrosse), Ryan Fasnacht (wrestling), Chris Herron (baseball), Kristin Inglis (women's tennis), Melanie Kasper (women's swimming and diving), Ken Kosteva (men's golf), Nate Kraft (men's cross country), Nicole LaMothe (volleyball), Monique LeBlanc (women's basketball), Becki Marshall (women's cross country), Justin McCarty (men's water polo), Julie McLaughlin (women's water polo), Brian Neuman (wrestling), Kevin Permisohn (men's water polo), Annie Richards (women's lacrosse), Laura Ryan (women's track and field), Jeff Sharpe (men's swimming and diving), Emily Smith (women's crew), Jessica Smith (women's crew), Katie Yingling (field hockey), Mandy Youmell (women's cross country), Kim Zimbal (women's track and field).
In addition, 157 winter and spring sport student-athletes were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll last semester. To earn Honor Roll recognition, a student-athlete must earn a varsity leter and achieve a grade-point-average of 3.20 or better during the semester of competition.
Bucknell (enrollment 3,650) competes in NCAA Division I (Division I-AA for football) as a member of the Patriot League.
