
Men's Tennis Squad Falls to Towson, 5-2

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's tennis team fell to visiting Towson, 5-2, on Tuesday, April 10. The Bison fall to 7-5 on the season. Towson improves to 4-6 this spring.
In singles action, BU senior co-captain Hayes Hopple (Wilton, Conn./Saint Georges School) was the lone winner, posting a 6-3, 6-0 victory at the fifth flight.
The Orange and Blue claimed the doubles point, winning at the second and third flights. At the second flight, senior Jeff Gould (Coram, N.Y./Coram) teamed up with senior Aaron Webster (Houston, Texas/Bishop Miege), returning from injury to play in only his second match of the season, to pick up a 9-7 victory. At the third spot, juniors Scott Allen (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) and Lee Scarborough (Wilmington, Del./A.I. Dupont) posted an 8-5 win over their Tigers' opponents.
Bucknell is in action again on Thursday, April 12, when it travels to Lafayette for a 3:00 p.m. Patriot League match against the Leopards.
