Men's Swimming Team Finishes 39th in Mid-Major Mythical National Championship

LEWISBURG, PA - Bucknell University's men's swimming team placed 39th in CollegeSwimming.com's "mythical" national championship.
The ranking is based upon a compilation of all the mid-major conference championship meet results from the 2001 season. Junior Chris Neary (Philadelphia, Pa.) earned the Bison team its four points with a "mythical" 13th-place finish in the 100-butterfly.
Institutions from the following conferences competed in the mythical championship: America East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Ivy/EISL, Metro Atlantic, Mid-America, Mid-Continent, Midwest, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Sun Belt, Trans America and West Coast.
The Bucknell men finished the season with a 7-2 mark in dual meet competition and a third-place finish at the 2001 Patriot League Championships.
