Nine Members of the Bucknell Swimming & Diving Teams to Compete at the ECAC Open Championships This Weekend.

LEWISBURG, PA - Nine members of the Bucknell University swimming & diving teams will compete at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Open Swimming & Diving Championships later this week. The three-day event begins on Thursday at the Gloucester County Aquatics Center on the campus of the Gloucester County Institute of Technology.
Qualifying sessions will begin each morning at 11:00 a.m., followed by finals and consolations each evening at 7:00 p.m.
Six women and three men will represent the Bison at the championships. Members of the women's team competing are senior tri-captain Molly Lowe (Hamilton Square, N.J.), juniors Barbara Morgan (Toms River, N.J.) and Abby Weaver (Lititz, Pa.), sophomore Rebecca Dolan (Pine Forge, Pa.), and freshmen Daniela Faas (Ludwigshafen, Germany) and Krisztina Poda (Bekescsaba, Hungary). Lowe will compete in the 100- and 200-fly, Morgan in the 100- and 200-breast, Weaver in the 50- and 100-free and the 100-fly, Dolan in the 200- and 500-free, and the 100- and 200-fly, Faas in the 200- and 1650-free, and Poda in the 100-, 200- and 500-free.
In addition, the women will field relay teams in the 200-free, 400-medley, 200-medley, 800-free and 400-free.
The women's team is coming off a very impressive second-place finish at the Patriot League Championships last weekend. It was Bucknell's best finish since placing second back in 1995. Faas and Morgan each set school records at the meet.
Competing from the men's team will be sophomores Chris Feinthel (Cranford, N.J.) and Stelios Saffos (Cherry Hill, N.J.), and freshman Jack Sheehan (Wenonah, N.J.). Feinthel will compete in the 200- and 400-IM and the 200-back, Saffos in the 100- and 200-breast, and Sheehan in the100- and 200-back.
The men's team finished third at the Patriot League Championships.
