LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell junior Molly Creamer has received the Subway Athlete of the Month Award for the month of December in basketball.
The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Monday, Dec. 3. Sponsored by Lewisburg Subway, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of December, as selected by their respective coaches, were junior Theresa Dennis in cross country and senior Abby Weaver in swimming & diving.
Creamer has led Bucknell to a 3-2 start this season, averaging team-highs of 22.4 points and 4.2 assists per game. She also leads the Patriot League in scoring and ranks fourth in assists per game. The 2000-01 Patriot League Player of the Year, Creamer currently ranks fifth on Bucknell's all-time assist list with 267 career assists. She needs just 10 more three-pointers to move into second on BU's all-time list, and she is also ninth all-time at Bucknell with 141 career steals.
Bucknell returns to action tomorrow to host non-league opponent St. Bonaventure at 7:30 p.m.
