Dincher Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

Freshman Ashley Dincher, a midfielder for the Bucknell University women's soccer team, was named as the Patriot League BRINE Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28, the league announced this afternoon.
Dincher picked an opportune match this week to score her first two collegiate soccer goals. She notched a pair of tallies, including the game-winner, in Bucknell's 3-0 win at Lafayette on Saturday that clinched Bucknell's Patriot League tournament berth. During a 3:31 span mid-way through the first half against the Leopards, Dincher potted two goals that were part of a 3-0 surge that held up as the final score.
With five points on the season, Dincher is now team's fifth-leading scorer.
Dincher and the 9-4 Bison return to action tomorrow when they host Cornell University in a non-league game beginning at 2 p.m. On Saturday, Bucknell hosts conference front-runner Navy (5-1 Patriot League) at 1 p.m. to determine the Patriot League regular season champion.
