
Bucknell Senior Men's Soccer Player Sam Graziano Named to All-Academic Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior midfielder Sam Graziano (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo Regional) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2000 Men's Scholar Athlete Regional Team. Graziano was selected to the second team with a 3.48 grade point average in Computer Science.
An offensive threat and All-Patriot League Second-Team selection, Graziano was Bucknell's fifth-leading scorer this season. The midfielder tallied two goals and three assists on the year for seven points. Both of his goals were game-winners as he scored BU's goal in overtime to lift the Bison to a 3-2 victory at Holy Cross. Graziano also tallied Bucknell's final goal in a 2-1 win over Saint Peter's. With an assist in the Orange and Blue's 3-0 win against Colgate, Graziano moved into the top-10 on Bucknell's all-time career assists list with 12. A participant in 70 games while wearing the Orange and Blue, Graziano graduates with six career goals and 12 assists for 24 career points.
Bucknell finished the season with a 9-10-2 overall record and its first trip to the Patriot League Tournament in seven years. The Bison closed out Patriot League play with a 4-2 record, tied for first in the league, to share a piece of the regular-season title and enter the tournament as the second seed.
