Gonzalo Diaz Named ECAC Male Swimmer of the Week

LEWISBURG, PA - Bucknell University's Gonzalo Diaz (Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Male Swimmer of the Week following his performance in Bucknell's dual meet victory at Lafayette College last weekend.
Diaz captured both the 500- and 1,000-freestyle events to help lead the Bison to a 179-112 victory over the Leopards, improving the team's record in dual meets to 6-3 this season. The sophomore touched the wall in 4:56.18 to capture the 500, and was also victorious with a time of 10:05.86 in the 1,000.
The Bucknell men's and women's swimming & diving teams will be back in action this Saturday, January 20, when they travel to Hamilton, New York, for a meet with the Colgate Red Raiders. The action is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
