Bucknell Women's Basketball Player Molly Creamer Among Nation's Leaders

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell sophomore guard Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) is among the nation's leaders in average points per game. The 2000-01 NCAA Women's Basketball statistics leaders were updated on Monday, January 8.
Creamer, who leads the team and the Patriot League in scoring at 20.4 ppg, is ranked 21st in the nation with her scoring average. The sophomore has tallied 265 points through 13 games played this season. Her 26 three-pointers on the year are tops on the team and in the league, as well. Creamer was named the Patriot League Player of the Week for the week ending December 10 after averaging 26.5 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Bison. She has also been named to the all-tournament teams at the Cornell Classic (Dec. 1-2) and the PNC Wildcat Classic at Villanova (Dec. 29-30). In the consolation game of the Cornell Classic, Creamer scored 22 points in the second half on her way to a career-high 33 points in the game.
Bucknell is 10-3 overall and recently defeated Navy, 60-57, to open Patriot League play with a 1-0 record. The Bison, off to their best start since the 1986-87 season, travel to Lafayette for a conference game with the Leopards at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13.
