Bucknell Suffers First Shutout Of The Season

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA -- The Bucknell men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest to Robert Morris College in nonleague play at Robert Morris on Monday, September 1. It was Bucknell's first road game of the season.
The two teams entered the final 10 minutes of the contest without a score. With just under nine minutes remaining, the Colonials' Jason DeFranco gave Robert Morris the only goal it would need, scoring on a direct kick at the 81:40 mark. The host team held on for the remainder of the contest to take the 1-0 shutout.
Robert Morris (1-1) held a slight advantage in shots, 14-9, while holding a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.
The Bison (0-2) host Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday, September 6, at 5:00 p.m.
