LEWISBURG, Pa. ? Bucknell junior back Monica McCorry (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock) has been named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for field hockey for the week of September 18-25.

McCorry proved to be instrumental in both of Bucknell 's victories this past week. In a 3-2 overtime win against LaSalle, she recorded 13 tackles and six interceptions. McCorry was just as solid in an important 2-1 win at Lafayette on Saturday, September 25. In the Patriot League victory over the Leopards, McCorry had one tackle, ten interceptions and two defensive saves.

Bucknell is 4-4 on the year and 1-1 in the Patriot League. The Bison travel to Ursinus on Wednesday, September 27 for a 4:30 p.m. game with the Patriot League foe.
