CATONSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Bryan Bailey scored 26 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers, as Bucknell edged the University of Maryland-Baltimore County 70-68 Saturday night.
Boakai Lalugba added 16 points and nine rebounds for Bucknell (6-5), to help Pat Flannery claim his 100th victory as coach of the Bison.
Terence Ward led UMBC (6-4) with 21 points and Kennedy Okafor had 14 points and a career-high 20 rebounds.
Bucknell, which went 8-14 on 3-pointers, broke the game open early in the second half with four unanswered 3-pointers - including two by Bailey - to claim a 51-38 lead with 12:43 left.
UMBC rallied in the closing minutes, using a 3-pointer by Ward and a basket by Brad Martin with 4.8 seconds remaining to shave the lead to 70-68.
