Bucknell Drops Two Games at Eastern Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bucknell men's water polo team lost two games, both to nationally ranked teams, on Saturday, November 18, at the Eastern Championships, being held at Brown University on Saturday and Sunday, November 18-19.
The Bison dropped a 13-5 game to 14th-ranked Massachusetts in their first game of the day. Junior Ryan McCarty (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis Country Day School) and freshman Jamie Saettele (St. Louis, Mo./Ladue Horton Watkins) led the team with two goals each. Junior goalkeeper David Kennedy (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis Country Day School) had 11 saves, in addition to two steals.
In the second game, the Orange and Blue lost a close 11-10 contest to 10th-ranked Harvard. Senior co-captain Kevin Permisohn (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) and McCarty both scored three goals in the game, while Permisohn also added one steal and one assist.
The Bison fall to 20-21 on the season and will face Johns Hopkins in the seventh place match on Sunday, November 19.
