Bucknell Wrestlers Finish 12th at Mat Town U.S.A. Tournament

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Bucknell wrestling team participated in the Mat-Town U.S.A. Tournament at Lock Haven on Saturday, November 25, 2000.
As a team, the Bison finished 12th out of 13 teams participating. Missouri claimed the team title.
Individually for Bucknell, junior Ben Chunko (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) was the only wrestler to place at the tournament. Chunko, wrestling at the 174-pound weight class, picked up seventh place with a 2-2 record on the day. Chunko dropped his first match to Missouri's John Kopinsky, the eventual champion, before defeating Franklin & Marshall's Tom Brinzer, 3-1. He lost a close one to Purdue's Jon Fitch, 5-2, before ending with an 8- victory over Lock Haven's Eric O'Connor in the seventh place match.
Bucknell travels to Drexel for a tri-meet against Drexel and Duke on Saturday, December 2.
