Kaitlin Kelly joined the Bucknell athletic training staff in the summer of 2013 fresh off completing a master’s degree in athletic training at Michigan State University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Connecticut in 2010.
During her time at Michigan State, Kelly served as the head athletic trainer for the Spartans’ cross country and track & field teams for one year. She then spent a year in the same role with the women’s soccer program.
Kelly spent the fall of 2012 as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Charleston and served as the interim athletic trainer in the Pleasantville (N.Y.) School District for three months prior to arriving in Lewisburg.
Kelly worked with the Connecticut football and men’s basketball programs during her undergraduate days. She also had responsibilities with E.O. Smith High School and St. Joseph’s College during that same time frame.
Kelly has gained additional experience working with the Michigan State men’s and women’s tennis programs, the Spartan Wrestling Open Tournament and the Michigan Youth Wrestling Association. She has also worked First Aid at the Hartford and Boston Marathons and spent two years as a graduate teaching assistant at Michigan State.
