A Meshoppen, Pa., native and an assistant athletic trainer at Bucknell, Emily Madrak earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Lock Haven in 2012. She followed that with a master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. She completed that program with a 4.0 GPA.
Madrak got her start in athletic training during her undergraduate days at Lock Haven. Among her duties was working closely with the indoor track and field hockey teams. Additionally, Madrak spent time working with the Lycoming College basketball teams and she spent the spring of 2012 as a student intern in Bucknell’s athletic training office, working with the Bison wrestling, track & field and football programs.
Madrak spent the summer of 2012 working various camps at Bucknell and Edinboro. She spent the 2012-13 academic year as a graduate assistant at Edinboro with her primary sport assignments being women’s volleyball, women’s basketball and women’s lacrosse.
At Bucknell, Madrak works with the Bison swimming and diving and water polo programs.
