Anne Ellenberger remains with Bucknell for a second season as a volunteer assistant coach after a successful four-year playing career with Bison volleyball. Ellenberger completed her competitive career in 2011 when she led the Patriot League in blocks with 1.22/set and was named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.
Ellenberger enjoyed the best season of her career as a senior, posting personal highs in kills, service aces, digs and blocks. The middle hitter from Phoenix, Ariz., ultimately completed her career with 183 total kills and 200 blocks. Off the court, Ellenberger was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll multiple times and became the second Bison in as many years to be voted both Academic All-District and Academic All-Patriot League while majoring in chemical engineering.
Ellenberger is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in chemical engineering at Bucknell.

2010: Played in 64 sets over 25 matches as a middle hitter ... earned seven starting assignments ... third on the team in total blocks (39.0) ... recorded a season-high five blocks in back-to-back matches versus Iona (0-5) and Providence (3-2) ... also led the team in blocks opposite Loyola Marymount (0-2) and Indiana (0-2) ... recorded a season-high four kills in win over Providence.
2009: Played in 23 matches, drawing three starts ... tied her career best in kills with five at St. Francis (N.Y.) ... hit .556 (5-0-9) against the Terriers ... posted a season-high five blocks against St. Francis (N.Y.) ... shared the team lead in blocks on two occasions (vs. Lehigh, at Holy Cross) ...recorded four digs and two assists in first match of the season versus Saint Peter's.
2008: Played in 30 of 31 matches ... earned starts on 12 occasions ... totaled 50 kills (0.60/set) ... finished the season ranked third on the team in blocks with 49 (0.58/set) ... tallied five kills against both Fairleigh Dickinson and Saint Francis (Pa.) ... contributed two assists versus Stony Brook at the Central Connecticut State Invitational ... posted a career-high six blocks (0-6) versus the University of Tennessee-Martin.
High School: Lettered three-times in both volleyball and basketball at Horizon Honors High School ... also attended Nishimachi International School in Tokyo, Japan from 2004-2005 ... served as team captain in 2007 ... named to 2A Metro Girls Volleyball All-Conference team in 2007 ... MVP of the Maricopa Invitational Volleyball Tournament in 2007 ... received team's Most Improved Varsity Volleyball Player Award in 2005 ... was team captain for basketball in 2008 and was a two-time 2A Metro Girls Basketball All-Conference selection ... named Most Improved Varsity Basketball Player in 2006.
