Evanko arrives in Lewisburg after spending four years at Saint Francis University as an Athletic Communications Assistant and a Director of Operations for Football, Softball, Women's Soccer, and Women's Volleyball
For Bucknell, Evanko directly covers the Spiked Shoe programs (cross country and track & field), field hockey, softball, men's & women's water polo, women's basketball, and women's volleyball.
At Saint Francis University, Evanko directly covered two conference-winning teams in men's track & field and softball. He traveled with the softball team in 2019 as the team won its third-straight NEC title. Additionally, he served as the main contact for the cross country squads, swimming, track & field programs, and women's water polo and was the secondary contact for men's basketball and football. He edited the 2018-19 men's basketball program and traveled to select football games.
In the summer of 2019, the new position of Director of Operations was created and Evanko was personally picked by head football coach Chris Villarrial for the position. Evanko traveled with the football and softball teams, filled in during the 2020 softball season as the athletic communications contact, handled all travel arrangements, ordered equipment, assisted with education and housing, and ran practices. In 2021, he spearheaded the return of the Red Flash Classic for women's volleyball.
He had several historical pieces about Saint Francis University football and softball published in the Altoona Mirror.
Evanko currently resides in Lewisburg.
