LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Bucknell women's basketball team led by head coach Trevor Woodruff has named junior forward Tuana Coskun the 2025-26 team captain.
"Being named captain means a lot because it shows the trust my coaches and teammates have in me," said Coskun. "To me, it's about leading by example, keeping us focused and supporting everyone so that we can succeed together."
Coskun came to the Bison ahead of the 2024-25 season as a transfer from Robert Morris. She made an immediate impact as a transfer, playing in all 31 games and making 30 starts for Bucknell.
The Istanbul, Turkey native recorded a total 234 points on the season with her best performance coming against her former team, Robert Morris. Against the Colonials, Coskun recorded a season-high 16 points and seven field goals made.
Statistically speaking, Coskun averaged 7.5 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. She also recorded 21 steals, 52 assists and 12 blocks on the season. Coskun shot 42.1% from the field, 44.6% from three and 74.2% from the line last season.
"We are really proud to have Tuana as our captain," said head coach Trevor Woodruff. "She is a great reflection of our team-first culture and will be a constant source of positive energy for our young group."
