Nordheim served as the water polo team captain, won Academic All-American (2019-2022) for water polo, and was the state champion in the 200-meter free relay. He holds his school's 100-meter backstroke record. He played for the San Diego Shores Water Polo Club, which notched second place at the Junior Olympics.
