Jillian Schultz, a former standout student-athlete in a top-10 national program at Fresno State, joined the Bucknell water polo staff as an assistant coach in August of 2023.

A native of Tinley Park, Ill., Schultz started her collegiate playing career at Iona, where she was a Second Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference selection as a freshman in 2019. Schultz was then a key contributor at Fresno State in each of the last two seasons, helping the Bulldogs to a pair of Golden Coast Conference championships. In 2023, she was one of the top scorers on a team that finished 18-9, ranked No. 9 in the nation, and made its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

Schultz earned All-GCC honorable mention honors in 2023 after ranking third on the team with 42 goals and fourth with 48 points. Her 81 drawn exclusions not only led the team but were third-most in program history.

Schultz, who earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Fresno State, was a two-time Academic All-GCC honoree. She was also a member of the Bulldogs’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

During her time in Fresno, Schultz also volunteered with the Bulldog Water Polo Club and at Fresno State water polo clinics. She also has experience as a swim coach and camp instructor.
