Shawn Ewert joined the Bucknell men's lacrosse staff as a volunteer assistant coach ahead of the 2020 campaign.
Ewert spent the 2019 season as a graduate assistant coach at Jacksonville University, where he primarily worked with the attack unit. He was also involved in the planning and execution of practices as well as recruiting.
Since 2014, Ewert has coached for Resolute Lacrosse, a highly competitive club lacrosse team based out of Columbus, Ohio. He also completed summer internships with Inside Lacrosse and the Sports & Entertainment Alliance in Technology Conference as an undergraduate.
A standout lacrosse player at Jacksonville, Ewert graduated ranked in the program's top five in career games started, career points and career assists. In addition, he was named the team's 2016 Offensive MVP after breaking the school record in single-season assists (23).
Ewert obtained his bachelor's degree in sports business, with a minor in coaching, from Jacksonville in 2018. He went on to obtain master's degrees in sports management and business administration from his alma mater in 2019.
