Rusty Rail Biergarten Coming to Bucknell Football Home Games

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell Athletics and local brewery Rusty Rail Brewing Company have announced an exciting new partnership that will bring a beer garden to select Bison football games this fall. The new feature, open to all fans, will be located on the west side of the Pascucci Team Center at the north end of Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
The Rusty Rail Biergarten will debut at this Saturday's 6 p.m. home opener against Villanova and will also be available for the Sept. 19 Family Weekend game against Penn (3 p.m.) and the Oct. 17 Homecoming game against Lafayette (3 p.m.).
Rusty Rail is located in nearby Mifflinburg, Pa., just a short drive west on Route 45 from the Bucknell campus. In addition to the brewery and full-service restaurant, Rusty Rail also offers lodging suites, making it a convenient location for out-of-town Bison fans. Rusty Rail was founded on the premise of developing a destination around craft beer, good food, and hospitality.
While beers such as Fog Monster and Fool's Gold have become staples for the company, Rusty Rail is also working to develop a special Bucknell co-branded beer, with a targeted release date during basketball season.
"We're really looking forward to being part of the gameday experience at Bucknell this fall and getting Rusty Rail in front of more Bison fans," said general manager of brand & brewing Brad Beneski. "While we've grown our brewery and distribution into a multistate footprint, we've always remained passionate and committed to investing in our local community, which is why this partnership is so exciting for us. We're especially looking forward to the opportunity to create something specifically for Bison fans."

The Rusty Rail Biergarten at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium will feature a mix of their flagship beers for sale, including Fog Monster Hazy IPA, Hop Glitch Easy IPA, Golden Blonde, and Fool's Gold Peanut Butter Hefeweizen. They will also feature a rotating seasonal beer like their Ring-Necked Red Ale and others.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for Saturday's home opener against Patriot League newcomer Villanova. In addition to the debut of the beer garden, it will be Military and First Responders Appreciation Game, presented by BELFOR, and Senior Night.
