Presley Sutter Named Patriot League Women’s Soccer Forward of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell junior Presley Sutter had three goal involvements in two Bison victories last week, and on Monday she garnered Patriot League Forward of the Week honors for the first time.
Sutter earned a starting spot this season, and last Thursday she recorded her first career two-goal game in Bucknell's 8-1 rout of Mount St. Mary's. Sutter scored the team's second goal of the day just over 11 minutes in, beating her mark to the 6-yard box with a sliding finish of Dani Howard's cross. Sutter finished her brace in the 84th minute, powering home a Kenice Wilson feed from the center of the box.
Bucknell followed that goal explosion with a convincing 4-0 win over La Salle on Sunday, and Sutter helped set up the team's second goal, another early one coming in just the 13th minute. Sutter won a header in the area, and then Gaby Parker's pass found Ingrid Murphy for the close-range finish.
Sutter now has two goals and an assist as part of a balanced Bison attack. Fifteen different players have produced a point through four games, during which time Bucknell has outscored its opponents 13-2.
The 3-1 Bison are back in action on Thursday at Penn State. First touch is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Jeffrey Field, with coverage on Big Ten Network Plus.
