LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's track & field collected its largest amount of medals in two years at the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Championships and the Bison added scholastic success by placing three student-athletes on the Academic All-Patriot League Team, as announced Wednesday by the conference. US National Champion Evelyn Bliss repeated the honor, sophomore Alexandra Lea earned it in her first year of eligibility, and senior Brylee Tereska notched the laurel for the first time.
Bliss, a Biology major, continued her marriage of academic and athletic success with a 3.37 GPA. The reigning national champion accelerated into another gear this season, setting five facility and meet records, owning the #1 throw in the NCAA, currently sits #9 in the world, and won the Patriot League title for the third consecutive year. The Bison javelineer heads to the NCAA East First Round in her quest for a NCAA National Championships and three-time All-American honors.
Lea, a Neuroscience major, shines as brightly as her gold medals in the classroom, recording a 3.94 GPA. The sprinter once again minted two gold medals in the 200 and 400-meter dashes at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships. She set the meet and school record in the 200-meter dash and the facility record in the 400-meter dash - in 2025, she established the meet record. Lea sits outside the top 48 in the East Region rankings but has a good shot - due to scratches - of returning to the NCAA East First Round.
Tereska, a Biology major, kept her academic prowess going with a 3.85 GPA. She won her second consecutive silver medal in the javelin at the Outdoor Championships and broke the 50-meter mark for the first time. Tereska sits third all-time in Bucknell history in the javelin and will become the Bison's first four-time NCAA qualifier.
Bucknell is guaranteed to send Bliss and Tereska and will hopefully add Lea to the travel party for the NCAA East First Round on May 27-30 at Lexington, Kentucky.
