Â
Bucknell needed the win or a draw to clinch a top four seed and the right to host, and Loyola needed a win for a top four seed heading into the match.

Boston U. and American took the top two sides, and the Terriers won the regular season title with one match left to play. The winner of Bucknell and Loyola will go onto to play American on the road. The Bison previously lost to American 2-0 this season.
Â
Lafayette's 2-1 win over Lehigh meant the Bison jumped the Mountain Hawks in the standings and that the Leopards jumped the Greyhounds for the fifth seed in the standings.
Â
The Patriot League struggled to get results in non-conference action this season, and all teams combined for a 12-41-24 record out of conference. Bucknell, Colgate and Navy are the only teams with multiple non-conference wins, and the Bison are the only program with three non-conference wins. Â
