The Inside "Herd" on the Bison
- Bucknell split its two conference games last weekend. The Bison did what the Redcoats could not and defeated George Washington in a thrilling double overtime 14-13 victory over the Revolutionaries. #15 Navy snapped Bucknell's six-game victory streak with a 15-8 decision.
- The Bison previously played the two squads in Erie and won handily. Bucknell dismantled Mercyhurst 20-9 and buried the Mount 27-14 for the most goals in a game since scoring 34 against Johns Hopkins in 1994.Â
- Bucknell received a vote in the latest CWPA Poll, tying them with the Mount and trailing one tally behind George Washington.
- The Orange & Blue were picked third in the MAWPC Preseason Poll.Â
- Tyler Hedblad paces Bucknell with 41 goals, followed by Jack Dillane with 37, Pier Giorgio Cicchetti has deposited 30, and Sean Tunnicliff has scored 23 times.Â
- Goalkeeper David Dumitru has recorded 122 saves.Â
- Cicchetti, a freshman, leads the team in assists (37) and points (97).  Â
- The Mount is 7-12 overall and 1-3 in MAWPC play. They spent last weekend out in California, going 1-3 against an assortment of lower division squads. The Mountaineers' sole conference came against Mercyhurst and the losses were dealt out by Bucknell, Fordham, and Navy.Â
- Mercyhurst is 2-15 overall and 0-6 in conference action. The Lakers were routed in four of the six games but played George Washington and Wagner to narrow two-goal defeats. Their wins came against Washington & Jefferson and crosstown rival Penn State Behrend. Mercyhurst has never won a MAWPC clash. Â
