BETHPAGE, N.Y.- On the same fields that witnessed the Revolutionary War 250 years ago, the Bison men raced to a 12th place finish at the IC4A Championships on Saturday afternoon. Bucknell held its own against a deep field of the region's best teams in the 8k race.Â

"Our men got out a little slow and we had a couple of issues where shoes were dislodged off two of our men when other runners stepped on them," head coach Kevin Donner said. "However, our guys were able to overcome those obstacles and ran very well between miles 1 and 4. The last mile was a grind for our guys due to working hard to get out of the hole, but overall it was a good effort."
2026 has been the year of Ethan Pratt-Perez and Bucknell's standout junior continued his pace-setting on Saturday. The Orange & Blue captain logged 24:35.2 to finish 23rd. He moved up eight spots in the final kick to break into the top 25.Â
Carter Paul enjoyed another strong performance. The senior runner placed 43rd, racing 24:48.9, a personal best time. He registered a late kick to move up five spots.Â
Freshman Sean Wemmlinger continued his strong rookie season by finishing 47th. The newcomer ran 24:52.3.Â
David Carillo nearly broke 25 minutes to finish 67th. The junior runner completed another round as a Bison scorer by clocking 25:01.0, a personal best.Â
Cooper Hollinger rounded out the Bucknell scorers. The sophomore finished 103rd on a time of 25:23.5 and was only a few seconds away from registering in the top 100.Â
The Bison host the Bucknell Open next Friday as the final tuneup before the Patriot League Championships on Halloween.Â
