HAMILTON, N.Y. – Jack Hartman closed with an even-par 72 and finished in third place at 2-under over 54 holes, helping the Bucknell men's golf team open the 2024-25 season with a T-4th effort at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial, hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks GC.
Taylor Kuehn and Hayden Quinn both shot 74 and Patrick Pritsios tallied a 75 as Bucknell compiled a 295 team score in Sunday's final round. The 873 total was even with Saint Joseph's for fourth place. Lehigh won the tournament with an 856 composite, followed by Seton Hall at 863 and Villanova at 872.
The 14-team field had a few holes to finish up on Sunday morning, as Saturday's 36-hole day was unable to be completed thanks to an early rain delay and then the onset of darkness. Bucknell was tied for third place when play was halted but gave a few strokes back during the conclusion of the second round.
Hartman posted 1-under 71s in each of the first two rounds before finishing with a 72. The reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year was one of only four players to finish in red numbers, joining Lehigh's Noah Zyung (-9) and Ryan Cronin (-3), and Seton Hall's Will Hennessee (-1). Zyung shot 68-73-66 on the way to a six-shot victory.
Kuehn also finished in the top-20 in his Bucknell debut. The Samford transfer shot 71-74-74 to place T-16th. James Robbins finished with a 76 after two straight even-par rounds, and he finished T-21st.
Bucknell returns to action on Sept. 15-16 at the Blue Hen Invitational at White Clay Creek Country Club in Delaware.
