LEWISBURG, Pa. — Terian Williams II has been named to the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team as one of 11 representatives from the FCS, Divisions II, III and NAIA.
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes a total 22 college football student-athletes and one head coach from all levels of the sport for their commitment to community service and leadership beyond the field. 11 representatives are chosen from FBS schools and the other 11 come from FCS, DII, D11 and NAIA. This year there were a record-breaking 197 nominees for the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which was the highest in the award's 34-year history.
A voting panel of former Good Works Team members, head coaches and journalists selected the team roster based on outstanding leadership both on and off the field.
"It is an honor to be selected as one of the 22 overall members of this team," said Williams. "Many great names in the past have been selected to this team for the great community work they put in and to have my name in the same discussion as them is amazing. Being selected means that I am leaving a great legacy of how I want to be remembered."
Williams has been heavily involved in community service throughout his life and with the new landscape of college athletics and athletes being able to be compensated for their name, image, and likeness (NIL), Terian decided to use his earnings to give back to the community that helped make him who is. This was where his nonprofit "It Takes A Village Family Foundation" was formed in 2023.
The foundation was made to rebuild, strengthen and support families and educate the youth in underserved communities as well as support other aspects of the community like the homeless.
The organization has raised money and gathered products for the local community in Atlanta since it began in 2023.
The non-profit holds several events throughout the year including the "It Takes a Village Family Foundation" Annual Christmas Event where this year they were able to help 20 families by providing furniture, groceries, toiletries and Christmas gifts. He also received products from Cheezit and Beats by Dre to give out to children in the community for the holidays. The foundation also ran an "It Takes a Village Family Foundation" Father's Day Event where they gave out shoes, shirts and breakfast to homeless fathers in Atlanta.
Williams has also used his non-profit to connect with the community in Lewisburg as well with the Bucknell football team."It Takes a Village Family Foundation" partnered with Bucknell SAAC for a Kick or Treat Event where athletes gave back to the Lewisburg youth through a fun-filled event at a men's soccer game.
"My community work is important to me because without the village that helped groom me, I wouldn't be where I am today," said Williams. "I always wanted the opportunity to give back to my community and NIL has allowed me to do so. Seeing the smile on the different people my non-profit and I touch is all the joy I need in my life. Football has become this platform for me to touch other people's lives."
The senior has also participated in other Bucknell SAAC events. He joined Bucknell Student Enrichment alongside other athletes as they went to a local elementary school (Kelly Elementary) for Black History Month to read to students and answer any questions. He earned Bucknell;s Robert A. Latour Service Award in 2024 which is presented for extraordinary service to Bucknell and the local community.
Earlier in the year, Williams also showed his leadership by being invited to and attending the Inaugural Athlete.Org Leadership & Policy Summit, where seven student-athletes selected were given the chance to hold direct conversations with U.S. policymakers and industry leaders about the future of college sports.
On top of all of his work and leadership shown off the field, Williams was voted in as a Bucknell football captain for the 2025 season and continues to show his leadership each and every day on the field as well as off of it.
