LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Patriot League champion Bucknell men's tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors on Monday, and five members of the Bison squad earned ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction.
Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega, Will Robinson, Adam Stavrakas, Felix Steindl, and Amar Tahirovic were named ITA Scholar-Athletes after producing a grade-point average of 3.50 or better across the 2024-25 academic year. All teams with a combined 3.20 GPA are eligible for All-Academic Team consideration. Bucknell easily surpassed that mark with a 3.40 GPA, highlighted by a 3.53 in the spring semester, when the Bison captured their first Patriot League championship since 1991 and made the NCAA Tournament for the first time.
Earlier this spring, eight of the nine members of the Bison squad earned spots on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Tahirovic captured both the Patriot League Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, and he was joined on the Academic All-Patriot League Team by Stavrakas.
A total of 994 Division I men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 159 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
