Softball Completes Signing Class

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell Softball completed its signing class with the addition of Meadow Gambacurta. The recruit boosted Bucknell's signing class to six members.
Gambacurta hails from Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and plays first and third base. The dual-position athlete is a three-time All-State, a three-time All Mid-Penn, and a three-time All-Colonial selection. Wielding a fearsome bat, she has collected 100+ hits and over 150 RBIs in her scholastic career.
"We are thrilled to add Meadow to our incoming class," said head coach Sarah Caffrey. "She brings a big bat, and will definitely add to the depth of our first-year class. I am so excited for the way this class came together and I think they are a great fit for our program and Bucknell."
She belongs to an athletic-rich family. Her grandfather, Frank Pannebaker, from nearby Mifflintown, played on the legendary 1958 LSU Tigers football team, which won the mythical National Championships. Pannebaker, a fullback, was a reserve on the 11-0 LSU team.
The 2025 Bucknell Softball team finished the season going 1-2 in the Patriot League Tournament. The Bison knocked out rival Lehigh with a 5-3 victory in the consolation round. It marked the second straight season the Orange & Blue vanquished Lehigh in the tournament.
